Frequently asked questions.
Answers about Optenic, the free trial, billing, career profiles, and how the platform fits into your job search.
What is Optenic?
Optenic is your career chief of staff: one place to find and evaluate opportunities, strengthen applications, prepare for interviews, and make better-informed career decisions.
Who is Optenic for?
Optenic is designed for professionals who want more control over an active job search and a clearer way to decide what to pursue, how to prepare, and what to do next.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
After you create and confirm your account, secure checkout collects your payment method and starts a 7-day trial. Your selected plan begins after the trial unless you cancel before renewal.
What are the available plans?
Optenic offers monthly billing at $39.99 per month and 3-month billing at $99 every three months. Both plans include the same Optenic experience.
When am I charged?
Your paid subscription begins after the 7-day trial unless you cancel before the trial ends. Billing then follows the cadence of the plan you selected.
How is payment information handled?
Optenic uses Stripe Checkout for payment-method collection and subscription billing. Payment-card details are handled through Stripe rather than entered directly into Optenic.
Can I cancel?
Yes. You can cancel before a renewal to stop the next subscription charge. Subscription self-service will be available from your authenticated account.
Can I build my profile without uploading a resume?
Yes. You can seed your Optenic profile from an uploaded resume or enter your career information directly.
How does Optenic evaluate job fit?
Optenic compares available job information with the career evidence and preferences in your profile. The result is decision support, not a guarantee of employer interest or hiring outcome.
Does Optenic guarantee interviews or job offers?
No. Optenic helps you organize, evaluate, prepare, and act on career opportunities, but employers control their own screening, interview, and hiring decisions.
Is Optenic a recruiting agency or employer?
No. Optenic is software for managing your career search and related decisions. It is not a recruiting agency and does not make hiring decisions on behalf of employers.
Does Optenic replace my judgment?
No. Optenic provides structured analysis and career decision support. You remain responsible for reviewing information and deciding which opportunities and actions are right for you.
